What are your tips on quiting paying for insanely price jacked hot drinks like coffee/tea on your commute or work breaks?

or tips on how to prep a nice fresh cup with limited work resources ( I don't like sharing the water kettle Cuz I've seen my coworkers refilling it from the bathroom sinks.......)
