Are any transcription sites worth it? Has anyone here had a decent / OK experience with any of them?

Hey :) So, I've browsed this sub and Google quite a bit, and what I have come across is mostly people complaining about Rev, rather than talking about alternatives that are better. Which is definitely understandable, I was recently accepted to Rev, but I haven't done much work on there because the audio quality was crappy and almost impossible to understand.

I do type over 100 WPM, and I don't have previous experience with transcription, but it seems that I manage to work more efficiently than some people have claimed when saying that transcription isn't worth it.

The main recommendation I see is the list of companies hiring on the Transcription Essentials forum, which I decided to take my shot at even without experience. However, some of them I'm skeptical about because either their websites were non-functional, outdated with little information on hiring (some said last updated in 2009 and 2016), or they were not hiring. Which brings up the question, can anyone vouch for the legitimacy of any of the companies on there?

Also, transcription going to be viable full-time? Or would there anything else I can do with a good typing speed that may be better? I'm looking for anything to do along with other freelance work. Any information or other recommendations would be appreciated, since I'm ready to work but kinda on the edge finding something worth my time. Thank you ♥️
