Is buying children's outerwear a good idea lol

It's getting colder outside and i'm looking to buy a really warm parka of reasonable quality. Last time i bought from a fashion brands the zipper was messed up within like 2 weeks and the pocket came open so i just want to get something that will hold up. I found something i liked online but upon going through the website i found that they had the seemingly the same parka in the kids category. I checked the material contents of the coat and they were exactly the same as the adult size one but was almost exactly half the price of the adult one, which seems weird because the adult's S requires around as much material as a children's L. The 13 year old size lines up perfectly with my measurements and height so i'm considering it 💀. I've heard that children's items are usually lower quality because they're expected to grow out of it relatively quickly so there's no need for it to hold up as long. Could this still be the case even if the materials listed are the same? The brand is Uniqlo.
