Propane grills: go cheap or BIFL?

Looking to buy a new propane grill (our first) within the next month or so. Neither my wife and I have done much cooking on a grill, so we probably won't notice the difference in performance between a cheap grill and an expensive one. I am mainly concerned about durability - are the more expensive grills worth it in relation to their higher price?
