How can Swagbucks be used for passive income and how do videos work?

Really new to SB. Just been doing the games but recently learned that you can earn passively by watching videos. How does it work?

I heard that there's a cap on how much you could earn but apparently people have been earning up to 4 dollars a day just by watching videos.
