Going to be a single dad soon living "alone" for the first time, and I need frugal furniture advice

Backstory: 26 M, two boys (4 and 6), uncontested divorce with their mother, shared custody, good situation for everybody emotionally. But we have almost no furniture in our current apartment and I will need to furnish my next place.

Assuming that I have essentially no furniture, what would be a good way to go about furnishing an apartment for an adult male and two kids? Just looking for ideas. Thanks!
