Husband is not on board or aware

My husband grew up very well off and I grew up knowing the difference between want and need. In college I worked and had student loans, he saved his "extra allowance" to travel the world. Needless to say we have a different grasp of money management and of the security of having a little set aside. Over the years I have helped him learn and appreciate some more frugal habits, but any suggestions to get him to reign in his spending habits? I don't want to be the money police and I'm so tired of him splashing money around like we have some to splash (on things like lunch out when he works from home).
