Tip to cut down on toiletries/ cosmetics impulse buys

My tip is to buy travel minis rather than full sized items to trial products before you dedicate to one product.

I'll admit I am absolutely useless with toiletries and easily influenced by social media/ adverts/ articles and will purchase a full sized bottle assuming it will work for my hair/skin... As you can guess, a lot of the time it doesn't!

This has led me to having a full drawer of random products I need to use up - oils, conditioners, anti-aging products etc! I've started "shopping" in this drawer every time I need an item to use it up. And once I've finished an item (eg shampoo) I replace it with a travel mini of a brand I'd like to try. It is more expensive per ml/g/oz but far less wasteful and saves having to use up something you don't like because you have a big bottle of it.

I'm slowly discovering the perfect products for me via travel minis and dedicating to one full sized shampoo, one face wash etc. This has saved me a lot of money and I'm a lot less wasteful. Even products like Olaplex/ Kerastase offer travel mini sets to trial!
