How often do you have to verify phone number to redeem sb?

I made a second account in the beginning of the year because it got banned for whatever false reason. I really did not plan on waiting around for 2 months because I have a basketball card addiction I have to pay for. When I made a new account I had to use my sisters number and it feels like every time I go to redeem sb it is asking for verification. I would say 4/5 I’ve been asked and I’m wondering if it’s just me.
