Got some WFH interviews coming up:) Need help with picking out portable wired internet and whether or not to buy a MacBook or a Windows computer

As the title says, I got some WFH interviews lined up. As as result most of the jobs won’t accept home WiFi. Can I get a portable hotspot and just connect it directly to the laptop via Ethernet cord?And if so what’s the best brand out there that will download 5mb and upload 2mb? I’m also looking into to getting a private workspace in case someone is being really loud and or construction is happening at my place.
