Should I make a career change?

I'm a software developer, I don't have a degree and I live in a third world country so I'm always looking for gigs but I can't land a job. My sister has a degree on animation and I got curious about video editing and she told me she can teach me but I don't know if there's a lot of work opportunities in that area, what should I do?
