r/Frugal Addressing the recent Reddit admin controversy

You may have seen recently that many subreddits are temporarily closed (gone private) by their mods in response to recent controversies regarding a Reddit admin/employee. We try to avoid political topics on this subreddit, but we wanted to make this post acknowledging the situation.

We support the actions of the Subreddits which have chosen to participate in the Black Out; the moderators of r/Frugal stand with these communities. However, it's important for us to keep the community open so that those who are seeking support, advice, and resources are still able to.

Under no circumstance will the admin in question be named. Comments to this post will be locked and any attempts to create a discussion on this subreddit will be removed. r/Frugal does not condone pedophilia or transphobia in any form or fashion.
