Work from home as an ESL teacher

You get to work with some adorable kids in China, teaching them English through QKids. This is a great side/PT job, especially for a student They are very flexible and accommodating.

The hiring and coaching team is very responsive and supportive with their feedback. You get to work from home at your own time. And the application process is pretty simple and straightforward. All you need is a bachelor's degree (or be near the end of your studies) and be in Canada or USA. They pay 16-20 USD/Hour. Minimum Hours: must be available to work a min of 6h/wk.
Hours offered: Hours are usually between 6:30-10am and 8-11:40pm EST

Requires TEFL Cert?: No. If successful in the application and interview process, the company will pay for teachers to obtain an online TEFL certificate.
Requires Native English Speakers?: Yes (USA/Canada).
Acceptable accents: Canada and USA
Requires College Degree?: Yes. At least a bachelors, or almost completed studies.
Experience with kids/teaching required: Preferred

Children or adults: Children (4-12 years)
Company books lessons or Parents/Students book lessons: Company arranges the lessons
Regular students?: not really, usually different students each day/week. Depends on what you get assigned.
Flexibility/cancellation policies: Very flexible. Can cancel anytime, but recommended at least a 5 hour notice to still be eligible for the extra pay.
Group classes or individual: usually group (1-4 kids)
Curriculum type and quality: basic English. Lessons uploaded to the company platform and teachers just follow it. No pre-planning required
Class Length: 30min

Pay Rate: Paid in USD. 16-20 USD/hr.
Base pay: $8 base pay for full lessons. $4 base pay for standby lessons (approximately 10 minutes with no teaching required).Incentive: eligibility for $1 Performance Fee for each lesson based on family review. Eligibility for $1 Attendance Bonus for each lesson once a minimum of 15 lessons are taught in a week
Pay Frequency: Monthly
Pay Methods offered and Fees: Direct deposit to American and Canadian bank accounts. Company covers fees.
Offered Contract Lengths: 6 month
Interview Process: 2 demo interviews and 2-5 (paid) trial classes. Also a background check (fees covered by the company).
