I made a decent pet fountain for $21

No comments :

We had a small pet fountain for the cat so she would stop screaming at us to turn the faucet on for her. The dogs loved it, and between everybody drinking it dry all the time and our blind/deaf dog knocking it over all the time, the motor died.

The original had cost a bit under $30, and was clearly not big enough or heavy duty enough, and the bigger and better options online got expensive fast. So I took myself off to Goodwill and picked up a large crockpot crock for $4, then on to Menards to get a small pond/fountain pump for $17. The pump has small suction cups on it, so I literally just stuck it to the inside of the crock, filled it with water, and plugged it in for the easiest DIY ever. It's heavy enough for blind/deaf dog not to knock over, and plenty big enough for all four pets to use. It's been running for about a month with no issues whatsoever, and the pets love it.

Just wanted to share in case someone else with picky, spoiled pets might find it useful!
