How do you guys feel about Aflac?

Hi guys! I’m curious about your opinions on Aflac, and if it’s something you think worthwhile to have.

I’m about to turn 25, and I purchased 3 Aflac policies for my mom, brother, and myself a couple months ago. I would’ve included my dad but his age puts him at a more expensive bracket and I couldn’t afford it. When I get a high paying job I would love to include him in the policy for peace of mind.

The 3 polices I have are the accident, critical care, and cancer policies that have different rates of payout and have different price points. In total I pay $120/monthly roughly for all three policies and my annual cost for my life insurance is $197 for a $250k policy. Although 2 policies have been paid for the entire year and I’m paying one policy month to month.

Do you guys think Aflac is worthwhile for the peace of mind? My mom runs a small business that I work in and I know that if something were to happen, the Aflac money would help to ease somewhat of the burden especially for a cancer diagnosis or an ICU stay.

What do you guys think and why isn’t this something Americans discuss more often?
