Fresh flowers will be on sale after Valentines Day

Cut flowers are not super frugal, but can certainly make people feel good. Buying a dozen roses in the leadup to valentines day is very expensive, but you will find bargains galore starting on the 15th. Once cut, flowers cant be saved so retailers will either discount them or pitch whatever they dont sell on the 14th. Fresh candy will be on sale too, so if you can talk your sweetheart into believing you love him/her on a day other than the 14th, you can save considerably.
