bought clothes right before a lockdown

where i live, we're going into another lockdown starting tomorrow and non-essential business will be closed for a while. i needed to get some nicer clothes for a new job i'm starting soon and i had to get them today or i might not be able to for a few weeks. unbeknownst to me, the stores turned out to be having a massive sale to unload as much merchandise as possible before the shutdown. basically it was an unadvertised one day sale where everything in store was at least 40% off. have to say i went pretty wild but not nuts. bought everything i liked on me but nothing just because it was on sale. made out with two pairs of pants, two pairs of shorts, and two nice tops for around $100. without the sale and additional discounts, everything would easily have been over $200 regularly.
