Overall, is it worth investing money into deals?

I've been using Swagbucks for a while. But I haven't put any money in so far for deals. I see people post often about them, but I'm always afraid of the risk. Overall, is it worth doing? I'm sure it is once it pays out, I just don't want to waste money.

Any thoughts?
