HELP! Redeeming PayPal Gift Cards!

Hey everyone, I have a question about redeeming PayPal gift cards. Is there a certain amount of gift cards you can redeem at once? For example, redeeming a $25 card and another $10 card right after. Also, this would be my first time redeeming a gift card to PayPal so I was confused about how it all works. Would they directly send the payment to my PayPal and I just periodically check my activity tab to accept? Please respond soon, thank you!
