Current state of the watch apps?

I just returned to doing Swagbucks after a couple years. Can anyone explain what's going on with the apps? There are no videos anymore, just auto-loading web pages. It seems like I can earn on SBTV (now Swagbucks Watch?) but it takes a long time and I can't figure out when I've reached the max for the day. Every other app it just keeps telling me "looks like there aren't any ads to view this time." Is it worth doing at all? Does anyone know an alternative for using my phone passively or semi-passively?
