I'm seriously considering a food "no buy period" for the next several months. This idea was inspired by those over at r/makeuprehab to use the current hoard of every eyeshadow known to man...

...and also a bit of coronavirus. (I don't mean to contribute to fear-mongering, but it's the virus that started this thought process)

I'm making this post because I'm suddenly struck by the idea of "whoa... no grocery bill for two months???" ... and realized I could have done this all along.

After considering what I would need to buy if I needed to seal myself up in my home and limit my contact with the public as much as I could outside of my job... I realized I was actually pretty well prepared.

I have a ton of foods in my home I've been avoiding, because they're boring or whatever the current reason is.

I made a short shopping list: Butter, vegetable oil, sugar, kosher salt, rolled oats, rice, green onions (to plant and trim as needed), dry cat food, cat litter, frozen vegetables, canned tomatoes, and raisins... combined with everything I currently have in my fridge and pantry, and I can honestly live pretty okay for a few months!
