How do I get migraine-inducing smell out of a thrifted blanket?

I got a nice, warm, fuzzy blanket from my local thrift store. I really like it, but whatever chemical they put on it has this horrible, migraine-inducing smell. I washed it three times (once with vinegar) and it didn't do any good. What else can I try?
