prepaid gift card to cash [paypal method not working] :(

hey guys, i got a couple prepaid mastercard giftcards that have been registered using my friends name + info (he gave them to me to pay me back since he had no cash).

ive already googled and read the google wallet method, snapcash, and paypal method.

google wallet seems to no longer work with the prepaid cards, snapcash doesnt accept the prepaid card, and ive been trying multiple things with the paypal method now. i registered the card as a payment in my paypal and tried sending money to my friend (who wouldve given me the cash back) and tried sending it another email + another paypal account that i made. unfortunately, every time i get to the page that sets the balance, i know about the fee that i have to owe so i put in a lower balance, and try to continue i get the message:

"The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number."

this happens every time. i also tried requesting an invoice using my primary paypal account to a new email (did not have to register for paypal) and used a different card to try sending myself the money but the same message shows up.

but the funny thing is about 2 months ago an online company requested some money from me via paypal (they sent an invoice) and i used a different card mastercard, not visa that was registered with a different friends information (this guy just gave me the card instead of cash as well) and i sent the money no problem.

so im not sure whats going but can really use some help since i have like $400 in prepaid gift cards right now and can use the cash.
