Need some help getting started

So, I need to start making money. I am unemployed and now have no transportation in a small town that has no public transportation. What is my best bet in terms of 2 or 3 sites to focus on? It is a bit overwhelming trying to figure out how to go about this because there are so many options. I'm looking strongly at Mturk, but I don't know if that's the wisest course. What are your suggestions for someone just getting started?
