What would you do with $11000 in “life skills” funding?
I can receive $5500 per year for up to two years ($1100 max). Any program, activity, class, object, etc can be approved for funding as it helps me improve in at least 2 of the following domains:
1.) Identity, culture, belonging, spirituality 2.) Education, employment training 3.) Daily living and household skills 4.) Social skills 5.) Health and wellness 6.) Parenting and family life
Funding will also cover travel and any materials/equipment required.
I qualify for this funding from the government as I am a former foster kid. I am 22-year old Canadian woman, I am already in school for pre-med so I definitely don’t need more formal education. I already receive over $2000 a year in counselling and $1500 in sports/athletics funding so I don’t need it for that either. I am thinking about requesting funding for something relating to international travel but it would really have to be a convincing argument and I only have cultural ties to Germany and Ukraine. It’s also a ton of money and I don’t want to spend it all on travel. I’d love to hear what others would request and how they would justify it! No request is too big as long as the argument is convincing.
