Should I ask for an update?

Hello, so I had an interview yesterday with a potential client, he told me during the interview that the next step would be doing the test task. I haven't received the email for the test task yet and the deadline is on Monday already.

Should I ask for an update/heads up about the test task or I failed the interview and he decided not to go through my test task? I don't wanna sound too pushy.

He told me during the interview that he will send the test task right after but I haven't received it until now.
