Anytime I make a purchase over $80, I feel immediately really guilty/nervous. I think it stems from growing up fairly poor and having a history with poor financial choices (never been in debt, just never had savings because of buying frivolous things). I’ve come a long way since then, and now I’m spending money I can rightfully spend, but I still can’t shake the immediate feeling of doing something wrong after I spend money on something I need. For example, this morning I spent $200ish on maternity clothes because I’m pregnant for the first time, which is quite obviously a necessary purchase. Has anyone else dealt with this? Do have any tips on how to overcome it and be at peace?
