I've been organizing my chest freezer with reusable shopping bags and it works really well.

If you've ever had a chest freezer you know that they can hold a lot, but can be difficult to organize well enough that things don't get lost at the bottom causing waste. Well the way I've been dealing with it is to organize my items in cloth shopping bags. By doing this I can easily lift the top bags out of the freezer to reach the items in the bags underneath as needed. My current set up is 1 bag for beef items, 1 for pork, 1 for chicken and 1 for sausages. This leaves my two baskets free for cheeses, sausage, liver and bacon and my side slot available for seafood (I live by the coast so we mostly get that fresh) and misc items like chicken hearts and ham hocks. I've also found it easier to keep track of everything I have so nothing gets forgotten at the bottom. I hope some of you guys will put your tips for organizing chest freezers in the comments. I'm sure a lot of people would love to get different ideas for their own freezers.
