How many here are Linux users? (using Linux to revive old computers & use them longer).

How many of you even aware of that option and at least tried it?

Around 2013, when I knew Windows XP was about to lose support, I bought a refurbished cheap laptop (my first laptop ever, as I only used PCs) with no OS - and used my PC to make a bootable flash drive for the first time. I was absolutely amazed by the free, open source option. Since, I helped people revive their old machines (ever before Covid), and I get throwaway devices that people don't want (some being donated away after upgrade and Linux install).

A computer with 3GB of RAM and DualCore2 or one of the "i" processors can be turned into a modern, functioning machine (there are Linux distros for even lower specs like Antix).
