What household time savers are worth the upfront cost?

That whole old adage about how time is money. A little bit of context, I have a chronic migraine condition that frequently limits my usable hours in a day. Between this, my internship, and general household work, I often find myself drained of all energy and unable to function. I'm looking for the most value for money, in general tasks but maybe especially where it comes to the kitchen.
