Making a Website for profit?

I'm thinking about making a website for Rubik's cube speed solvers. if you do not know, there is a community of people who enjoy solving the Rubiks cube quickly. Very quickly, in fact, the world record is around 3 seconds to solve a 3x3 Rubiks Cube. Anyways, I am thinking of making a website for a profit. I have seen videos and articles about how to make a profit from websites and decided I'd like to create one to record my experiences and help others solve the Rubiks Cube. But the problem is, the community of Rubik's cubers is small. So I don't know If making a website that aims at such a small community would create enough traffic to get any type of profit out of it. I've heard that you can do affiliate links to make a profit, but I don't know if that is suitable with the type of website I am creating. Help?

P.S The community of Rubiks cubers are small, around 1-3 million in globally I reckon. On reddit there are 87k in the forum so idk if thats large enough.
