Remote/Work-From-Home Jobs for someone with a B.A. in English Education and a J.D. (other than teaching English online).

No comments :

I am aware that teaching English online is an option. However, the pay is extremely low and most companies appear to be oversaturated with regard to the amount of educators employed (not enough students/classes available). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I could probably make more money working as a barista at Starbucks (I worked there while I was in undergrad).

Note: My B.A. degree is in Secondary English Education (Grades 6-12) with an ESOL endorsement. I am certified to teach in the State of Florida, USA. I also have a Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited school, but am I not licensed to practice law in the US (yet), as I am waiting on my bar exam results. I am relatively tech savvy.

I am particularly interested in JD-preferred positions (legal research, compliance, policy, etc.), technical writing, doc review, HR/recruitment, higher education administration, and rising startups. I am unaware of any legitimate government/municipal positions that are purely remote, but I would also be open to such an opportunity if it exists.

I live in a small city/large town in Upstate NY and the job market is pretty morose as of late, especially now given that the coronavirus pandemic is sweeping the nation.
