Most useful skills to find work online

Hey guys,

I have a few friends that are looking to skill up in something so they're able to work remotely. One of them decided to take up coding but the rest are just plain bad at it/don't enjoy it. They are however in the search for things they can do online on a freelance basis that will pay more than minimum wage.

They do have photoshopping skills and some of them can edit video as well, but none of them has portfolios/freelance experience (they do have the willingness to work for free if need be). So the question is: what are some skills these guys can learn/pick up that will allow them to work remotely -other than programming- and earn more than minimum wage? They've jobs, but they just want something better :)
