Does quickthoughts slash your earnings once you hit the 600$ limit?

I get paid $2.00 per survey and I make $10 a day. I heard reports of people hitting the limit and sending their tax information then getting their rewards cut in half from $2 to $1. That’s my biggest fear because I’m a broke college student and this app paid for so much of my hobbies and getting my earnings cut in half would absolutely destroy me emotionally. Can anyone who actually hit the limit share some info?
