Anyone else getting extra ads from S'more?

Since the last update, I've been getting ads pop up when I'm actively using my phone, not just on the lockscreen. They pop up without warning and interrupt whatever it is I'm doing, and most of the time they are unskippable video ads. This isn't what I signed up for, and they aren't even paying any more than they were before. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know how to stop it without uninstalling the app?
