My kitchen sink requires water to be running while using the sprayer. Anything to block it off?

I Kitchen sink requires water to be running in order to use the spray Function. When I am not using the sprayer it leaves the water running. Is there something I can put on my sink as an off switch that will prevent the water from running while I am only trying to use the spray function?
