My mom wants to give me a 2000 Mercedes ml220, since they are getting a new car. I got rid of my cars 3 years ago to save money. Should I take her car?

I am scared of any future repair costs. I currently use uber to get to/from work, sometimes bike to work, and I occasionally rent cars for the weekend (maybe once every 3 months). My ubers sometimes have cash back deals and discounts. The cost of my uber rides range from free to $3.

So I haven't had car insurance for a long time. I figure car insurance will be high. My parents say they pay about $700 a year for insurance and registration.

I am estimating that the miles I go is about 300 miles per month.

I figure every repair is gonna be $1000 plus.

Probably has lots of miles too.
