Looking to find a cheap or at least reasonable colonoscopy.... (U.S. Healthcare)

So I asked my doctor about going to a bordertown Mexican health facilitiy and he cautioned that a hospital would need to be at the ready in case of complications. Then I asked if I should look state by state and he told me I should check Doctor by Doctor through my insurance company. Do we have a sticky or general advice on here for this? I've seen prices from 600 to 3,000. I'm insured and I'm not a veteran. Thanks for any tips you can give!
