In Canada as a visitor until work permit processes

Hello! this may be the wrong place, so shoo me away if necessary. I am in Canada as a visitor(US citizen) and will be applying for permanent residency after getting married in Sept, but am looking at online jobs for now. I know Appen has jobs in both the US and Canada, but I am unsure how to go about applying for things as I am located in one country, but eligible to work in another. Does anyone one have any experience with this situation who can point me in the right direction? I have semi-decent tech and writing skills, a background in text editing and project management if that helps.... thanks in advance!
