I spent $24 on my kids school supplies

I went to The Dollar Tree and got my kids' stuff for school. I looked online on my phone on the school district website to see what supplies they would need and I got everything I found there. My daughter's list didn't have much and they didn't ask for any supplies but for some cups and paper towels and folders glue sticks and wipes.

Instead of spending more than $100 on school supplies, I spent only $24 and that was including me buying things I needed too.

I also didn't go by brand they wanted and I discovered lot of parents don't go by brand as requested on the list so I didn't take it literal and it saved me money than having to save like crazy this month to buy that stuff.
