FPT: Instead of getting a drink with a meal, ask for a water cup. It'll save you upwards of 3 dollars every meal.

Any place I go I started asking for a water cup simply because I like water more anyway, and the savings really started to add up. Generally the place will just give you a regular small cup anyway that you can use on something other than water if that's your fancy, but you won't be charged for it. I'm sure the more frugal thing to do would be not to eat out at all, but as someone who is constantly moving and on the go, it's hard to meal prep so I save where I can.
