Conduent

I have an interview for an online job through Conduent for Tier 1 tech support taking phone calls. I just sat through a phone/video conference interview type meeting where we could ask questions and see a PowerPoint about the basics of the job. My question is, does anyone work for Conduent (used to be Xerox from what I'm reading) and work tier 1 tech support? The person running the conference call stated multiple times that you literally cannot pick your schedule at all, and that your home has to be completely silent the entire time you're working or you'll be terminated if they hear any type of background noise if QA monitors your calls. They made it sound really intense and strict I guess? What I'm asking is that is it REALLY as strict as it's being portrayed as? I'm just going to come out and say that I'm 99% sure this is for Apple tech support. It's not been disclosed at all but from what I'm gathering it's for Apple.
