Any site where a bilingual non-US citizen can make some money online outside the US?

I am an English Lit Professor at a University in Costa Rica and an independent translator (English-Spanish) or interpreter when the opportunity arrives. I have also worked as a Corporate teacher.

I haven’t been able to find a decent site where I can make some money while either editing, proofreading, translating or whatever during my free time. Chinese sites that “teach” English only hire native speakers so my chances on those ones are close to Zero.

Any help/guidance/help will be appreciated.
