Toolbar TV mucks up my computer Swagbucks News/Tips

When I run Toolbar TV throughout the day, without fail, at some point my computer becomes semi-unresponsive. Chrome locks up and will not load new pages or videos; I can close programs, but not open new ones; Skype disconnects from the internet even though my network claims to still be connected; my keyboard and my mouse are responsive but Windows refuses to respond to commands aside from "close program" or "end process"; Ctrl + Alt + Del does not work. I inevitably have to perform a hard shutdown to get rid of the problem. Scans with CCleaner, Avast, and Spybot turn up nothing.

It's always Toolbar TV. I have gone for a couple of months without running it (and also eliminated another Swagbucks-related element that caused this ridiculous lockup to happen), and have gone for the same amount of time without my computer doing this, and lo and behold, I ran Toolbar today and the bizarre unresponsiveness thing happened. I have no idea why Toolbar TV would trigger this.

Does ANYONE else run into this? Has anyone figured out how to make it stop?

Tl;dr my computer hates Swagbucks with a burning passion.
