I know there are people on this subreddit who make their own laundry detergent- I am asking this question specifically to you.
Washing soda clumps up, everyone knows that. I added water, thinking that it would dissolve it, thinking I need to add water anyways, so what do I have to lose?
A couple days later, it is even harder than it was, with a strange, glassy layer at the top. It makes me think that some (irreversible?) chemical reaction has occurred. Can someone explain what has happened? Is it good for anything, or is it garbage now?
