Beermoney and free food unite: my total grocery bill yesterday was negative $4!
Ibotta, the grocery rebate app, is currently running an awesome bonus (the "awards bonus") for the month of February--redeem one rebate and get $5!
I also had another rebate available--submit a receipt and get $.50.
Finally, there is a $.50 rebate on Chobani drinkable yogurt, which costs $2 at my local grocery store. This was the specific rebate I used, but there are other similarly priced items that are eligible for rebate as well.
So in the end, I paid $2 and for $5 + $.50 +$.50 = $6 in cash back, a net profit of $4 and a free yogurt drink to boot!
The $5 rebate ends 3/1, so I suggest doing it sooner than later. I'm not posting my ref code here since I think it would violate the rules given that Ibotta is mentioned in the sidebar, but if you want to use it to get $10(!) to start with, send me a PM.
