What is the deal with tabs being way behind in points?

So I've transferred most of my phones out of perk but my computers still run perk and viggle tabs in the background since I can do it concurrently with other sites. For awhile now I've noticed most of my tabs are typically several hundred points behind others and my actual total. To me this is signalling that I must be going through dozens of videos without a single point. Is this the case or am I missing something?
