HOW CAN I MAKE $___ IN ___ DAYS?

Chances are, if you're asking that question - it's already too late. Unfortunately, a lot of these sites take a while to credit and pay out, so trying to make a lot of money in a short time frame just doesn't work well. Beermoney is really best for low amounts over a long term. That's not to say there isn't people who earn a lot or in a short time, but most don't - especially beginners.

Some alternatives:

  • Donating plasma

  • Check craigslist for gigs or jobs. Sometimes you can find simple stuff.

  • Ask around if anyone needs some help.

  • Mow grass or shovel snow.

LOOKING FOR APPS/WEBSITES?

Check out these places:

WHAT SITES/APPS WORK IN (insert country other than USA/UK/CA)

  1. Check out this post.

  2. Search this subreddit for whatever country you're in.

  3. Check out /r/beermoneyglobal.

MTURK DENIED MY APPLICATION. WHY?

  1. Are you from the USA? If not, wait a while. Sometimes mTurk will approve the application for international workers after some time has passed.

  2. Are you 18 years or older? mTurk is only available for people age 18 or older.

  3. Have you filed taxes? mTurk checks for your tax filing history. If you don't have a history of filing taxes, then try again once you do.

If you answered "yes" to all of the above, you might just be unlucky. Try contacting support and seeing if they can help. Calling usually works best. Just keep hounding them about it - you might get yourself approved. You might not though. They have recently been denying a lot of people. Search mTurk for more info.

ARE THERE MORE SITES LIKE MTURK?

There's nothing as big as mturk, but check out Clickworker and Microworkers. There's also /r/siteslikemturk.

HOW DO I START EARNING PASSIVELY WITH MY COMPUTER OR PHONE?

Here's a beginners guide.

WHAT EQUIPMENT SHOULD I USE?

Prices and the best equipment is always changing. That said, it isn't changing incredibly fast so you probably don't need to make a new post.

  • For routers/access points: Many people recommend /r/Ubiquiti I used a cheap TP-link which worked well for up to around 15 devices. I usually search /r/perktv to see what people say.

  • For phones/tablets: Check out /r/perktv's cheapest devices of the week threads. Check the current and previous week or two.

  • For laptops: Look on ebay or craigslist. Buying used will usually get you a better price than buying new.

  • For powered USB hubs: Many people like these.

  • For various extensions: Check out this post. - Although, I disagree about the auto refresher and adblock. Both of those can get you banned by many beermoney sites. FRQc is also great. Just set it to "auto low" and all of the flash videos will load faster.

WHEN SHOULD I CASH OUT?

Always cash out as soon as possible, unless there is some sort of discount for saving up your points. Without a discount, there is no good reason to wait to cash out. You never know when you might get banned or a website might go away. Building up your points is just increasing how much you have to loose. The points are not yours until the money is in your possession.

I'M HAVING A PROBLEM WITH A SITE

Is the site not loading? or Is your cash out taking forever? - Look on a relevant subreddit, facebook or twitter. If there is a problem, people will be posting about it. If there's no mention of the problem, try asking on those subreddits, facebook or on twitter. If you don't know of a relevant subreddit, just google "reddit" and the site name. Many sites have subreddits. The same goes for finding the facebook or twitter pages.

Have you been banned for no reason? - Contact support. There is absolutely nothing we can do for you here. A few site owners browse this place, but the bulk of us are just general users. You have to contact their support to figure it out and work on getting your account unbanned. Just be polite and friendly. If you didn't do anything wrong, you'll likely get your account unbanned.

THESE @#%& SURVEYS KEEP DISQUALIFYING ME!!

Yes, that will happen.

BUT IT'S BEEN 30 MINUTES!

Yup. It happens. Survey portals are notorious for disqualifying people. Sites that specialize in doing just surveys tend to be better. Basically, if you're on a site that has an offer wall and surveys - expect disqualifications to happen.

There are a few ways to prevent it, but nothing is guaranteed.

  1. Take one or two screenshots as you progress through the survey. Particularly when you get further towards 80-90% of the way through. When you get disqualified at that point, you can try bringing it up to the website to get credit. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't.

  2. Always be consistent in your answers. There are a lot of questions designed to figure out if you're telling the truth or not, and if you answer it wrong - you'll start getting disqualified a lot.

  3. Don't rush, and don't walk away from a survey. Some sites don't check for rushing, but many will. They also check if you've wasted too much time in between questions. Try counting to 5 after each question if you're getting disqualified a lot.

OFFERS AREN'T CREDITING ME!

Are you clearing cache between each offer? Clearing cache is incredibly important to getting offers to clear properly. Check out the Vanilla cookie manager. Even if you do clear the cache, some offers just don't like to credit. /r/Swagbucks is a great place to see what swagbucks offers are currently crediting easily. Since many sites use the same offer walls, you can probably find the same offers on another site.

DO I HAVE TO FILE TAXES?

If you're in the USA, yes. You might have to for other countries too, that depends on your country.

In the USA, once you earn $600 with any site, you should receive a 1099 from them. Even if you don't make $600 or don't get the form, you're still supposed to report any amount you earn. This doesn't matter if it's PayPal, Bitcoin, Gift Cards or physical items. It is all considered income because you are earning it in exchange for a service.

HOW DO I GET REFERRALS?

  • Invite your friends and teach them how to use the sites.

  • Advertise on social media.

  • Find a new website that has paid you and hasn't been discussed here (search first!) then advertise it here (with lots of info and payment proof!).

  • Pay for referrals

  • Join a referral chain.
