Things I should know before I go to give plasma?

So, right now I'm kind of tight for money and I figured donating plasma would be a good idea. I figured a few of you guys give plasma and would be able to give me advice and tips I should follow before going. For example, should I have someone drive me to and from there or would I probably be OK driving home by myself. Also, what kinds of things should I eat/drink before going? I've heard people say that you shouldn't eat junk food or anything like that before you go, so what would be a good thing to eat? Those are only a few things I can think of, but are there other things I should know?

I'm sorry if this isn't the best place to ask this, but like I said, I figured a lot of you guys do it too since you can earn extra money from it, so I thought I'd ask anyway.
