Out of work for 3 months, no means of transportation, need help desperately!
I am coming to Reddit during a desperate time in my life seeking help. There are so many subreddits I have no clue which one my situation would be best suited for, so I am reposting the scenario here, as I did in r/beermoney in hopes that an opportunity will arise! Any tasks that need done, I am all for as long as I am capable. Also, I am NOT trying to spam. So if posting this is more than one subreddit is against the rules, please by all means delete them or just message me with a warning. Thanks!
First and foremost, I chose this subreddit very quickly so if my question is more related to something other than r/beermoney, please feel free to migrate my post. Anyhow, I am a 22 year old male who lives deep south on an island in Florida connected to the mainland by causeways. I have nothing in my area for miles, other than a shopping plaza with a crab restaurant and a Publix supermarket. Both of which I apply to often, but because they are the only local job hubs, many of the teenagers who's parents have pull with the management usually are chosen for hire. I have been out of work for 3 months now, coming from a restaurant I was working at with my girlfriend, but the season ended and I was terminated because they had too many employees. Also the only reason i was even able to get there was because we would carpool together in her car. So now a days I spend all day at home while she works, and having her pay for literally everything we do such as going out to dinner, going to the bar, buying all the bud, etc. is really taking a toll on my self esteem and I know she would more than appreciate being taken out, pampered, an paid for for the first time in months. Lord knows she deserves it and so much more. Anyway, I have a car but it is broken down. I can't afford to get it fixed without a job, and being that I'm in such a remote location, I can't get a job without a car unless I'm prepared to walk 20+ miles a day. Which honestly, I'm not. So what are my options Reddit? I just need something temporary to earn maybe 1-1.5k dollars to get a new starter car. All ideas and suggestions are welcome! Please and thanks!
